So tonight I was dragged, by my brother's girlfriend, to one of her performances with her dance company, Terpsichore, to record them perform.....Which I didn't end up doing any way because my brother recorded them, so I could have stayed in my room and watched House!! lol Anyway so they performed in Lee Hall for America's Best Dance crew, sponsored by the school, not the actual show, as like entertainment for the crowd while the judges got together and judged the groups that had performed. They all did a really good job peformance wise so did Terpsichore, of course... But the audience was another story.....
1st.
You know how when your going to see someone perform you usually try 2 either sit by a group of people you know or by a group of people that won't keep up to much noise or on a row by yourself. Well for some reason everytime I go to a performance i'm always surrounded by some form of ignorance and it's soooo annoying , especially when your actually trying to enjoy the performance!! So me and my brother ended up sitting on a row by ourselves with this one guy sitting beside me,then as the show was getting ready to start this group of loud people suddenly migrated around us, three loud girls came and sat on our row and so of course they scared away
the guy that was sitting beside me, then one of the heavy set ones apparently knew the people sitting infront of us and came over to sit in the seat next to me and damn near sat on my hand that was on the arm rest!! Then her friend ran around her and went to sit on the girl's lap they were talking to, now keep in mind these girls are probably about 21 or 22 at the most, and started talking like each of them were on the other side of the room while the audience itself was getting quieter, because there were people on the stage, so they were most of the noise that was going on in the auditorium. So they finally shut up and get in their seats for the 1st group of dancers to come on. I thought that mayb, just mayb that they wouldn't start back talking until like the intermission.....That hope was quickly dashed to pieces!!! They started talking about the little kids that were dancing on stage and what they had on...now I didn't agree with some of the stuff the little girls had on, because frankly I think that what they had on was not appropriate for their age groups, but I also took into consideration that they were dancing with older girls and they were trying to match them, plus with our society now-a -days that's what little girls are wearing now, so I can't say much about what their parents let them wear out of the house, but I know better then to talk about them louldly and insultingly with their family members and love ones sitting next to or around me. And I sure would not be talking about these kids when I looked a hot mess myself..lol..

And I sure would not be talking about these kids when I looked a hot mess myself..lol..Ok so I'm not sure if your familar with dance or not, but there is a form of dancing called interpretive dance, now this form of dancing is mean't to convey the emotion portrayed in the music or to tell a story through your body movement. Anyway I'm assuming that most of the people in this particular crowd had never actual seen interpertive dancing before.... I say this because the last group to come onto the stage was a group of girls that apparently specialize in this form of dancing and as soon as they started dancing the people behind me, infront of me, and to the side of me started talking, asking ridiculous questions such as "What are they doing?" "What the hell?" "Are they done yet?"..... Or making stupid statements such as "This isn't dancing" "They look a mess, what the hell are they doing up there?" "They suck"..... Now these girls were quite talented and if the audience was accustom to this form of dancing, they probably would have won the popularity vote, but of course that went to some drill team group, who were of course popping and what not.....personally, I don't think they should have gotten that because all they were doing was dancing like they were on a drill team.... but hey that's just my opinion.........
Anyway... I think that it's just horrible you can't go to actual events like these without having to worry about sitting by or around ignorant people who just make you want to hit them with sharp things, but you can't because it's mean and you might go to jail for that... lol.... But they just take all the enjoyment out of going to said events caus their criticism is unjust and their statements make them look ooh soo stupid....... The best thing you can do is ignore them and hope that they shut up!!!! lol
Soo that's the end of that.. lol ... I'll leave you with this quote by Steve Polyak:
"Before we work on artificial intelligence why don't we do something about natural stupidity?"

Like seriously that's ridiculous!! You have guys cursing loudly, with little kids in the vicinity, guys throwing things, such as water, at people below them, or when the guy threw the cowbell on to the field trying to hit the other team because of a bad call!!Oh yea that happened. Then you have the drunk guys with the cowbells ringing them for no reason or hittin them on the bleachers!! Really? What sense does that make? I understand your drunk but seriously, you have to have some sort of common sense going on up there....a little?...... un poco? lol
